This notice explains how we process your personal data in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

Creating your account and enabling sign-in; opponent/match matching and running tournaments and leagues; enabling players to reach each other; sending notifications; security, prevention of abuse and fraud; responding to requests and complaints; fulfilling legal obligations.
Sharing your phone number with your opponent: When a match is scheduled, your phone number is shown ONLY to your opponent in that match (as a WhatsApp link) so that you can coordinate the time and place. This sharing is a necessary part of the match organization service; no other user can see your number. If you do not want this, you can contact us at iletisim@kortmeydani.com.
Social media posts: Match photos you share in the app may be used on Kort Meydanı's social media accounts (e.g. Instagram) to promote the community (weekly recaps, tournament announcements, etc.). If you prefer not to, you can turn this off at any time in the app under Profile → "Privacy"; once turned off, your photos will not be used in future posts. You may request removal of a published post via iletisim@kortmeydani.com.
Your data is processed under Article 5 of KVKK based on: necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed, and your explicit consent where required.
Your data is processed by the infrastructure providers we use to deliver the service: database and hosting (Supabase), e-mail delivery (Resend), push notifications (Apple and Google notification services). These providers' servers may be located abroad (including the European Union), and transfers are carried out in accordance with KVKK. Your personal data is never sold to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your personal data is kept while your account is active and for the periods required by applicable law. When you delete your account, your data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time (subject to legal retention obligations).
You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information, correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing. You can submit your requests to iletisim@kortmeydani.com.
You can delete your account and data at any time in the app via Profile → "Delete My Account", or by contacting iletisim@kortmeydani.com.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will inform you of significant changes through the app.
